PlasmaTech Laboratory - Professor Vittoria Perrotti

LABORATORY FOR PLASMA MEDICINE AND INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

The PlasmaTech laboratory develops innovative approaches for biomedical applications in the oral district, integrating cold atmospheric plasma and other advanced technologies in oncology, microbiology, and regenerative medicine.

Research activities combine oral cellular models (healthy, precancerous, and head and neck cancer cells) with complementary technological platforms, including clinically relevant plasma-based devices (KinPen Med), physico-chemical characterization systems (optical emission spectroscopy, OES), and innovative approaches for modulating the cellular microenvironment.

Since December 2021, Vittoria Perrotti works as Associate Professor in Applied Medical and Surgical Sciences (MEDS-26/D, formerly MED/50) at the Department of Innovative Technologies in Medicine and Dentistry, University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti–Pescara (Italy).

Her research activity focuses on translational studies in oral diseases, integrating biological models and innovative technologies. She is Principal Investigator of competitive research projects and collaborates with national and international research networks in the field of translational medicine.

She is the author of more than 200 scientific publications indexed in Scopus (H-index 38; over 4,800 citations).
